offices garlanded in ribbons for 2007 and 2010

Microsoft Office 2007 and 2010

On first acquaintance, the programs of Microsoft Office 2007 and Office 2010 appear to represent a big change from earlier versions. This principally is due to the change in what you see on-screen, with familiar menus and toolbars replaced by a new way of accessing the commands and of working with the programs.

Some users we know are finding the move to Office 2007 or 2010 a bit confusing or frustrating because they have difficulty locating some of the commands with which they have become accustomed. To help smooth their transition, we offer users our Office 2007 and Office 2010 Conversion Workshops.

Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint 2007, and 2010, are fully equipped with the new user interface of command tabs, command sets and contextual commands.

Outlook 2007 has some of these, but retains some of the old menu/toolbar structure. Outlook 2010 has the full new user interface bringing it into line with the other programs of Office 2010.

Project 2010 is the first version to get the ribbon treatment, whilst Project 2007 retains menues and toolbars.
